A Sleepless Night

I had one of those sleepless nights, last night.  Where were my Girls? you may ask.

    • Whatever gave you the idea those girls stayed awake with me???? Podi never woke, the flash woke Baby … and Maggie, I reckon she was sleeping like a horse – standing, eyes closed – till the excitement of the flash and my conversation with Little Miss. 🙂

  1. To bed… “To sleep, perchance to Dream; Aye, there’s the rub,
For in that sleep of death, what dreams may come,” … aaaah the words of Shakespeare’s “to be or not to be” … don’t know why this popped up in my head.. haven’t thought of that for donkeys years…

  2. Will trade two beautiful cats for your Podi. Ours are hopelessly nocturnal, and the minute we turn out the lights in our downstairs bedroom, “Wrestlemania” erupts in the living room right above us.

  3. Poor thing!!! I do not like that situation at all! Sigh and Neo sleep with us, so everytime I move just a little bit, they both start moving…And C. is not very happy about that…So, when dreams run away I try to stay quiet, just looking at the ceiling…(that I can not see…:))
Hope this night you will be luckier!

  4. I, too, have sleepless nights. Probably the worst part of one is having to listen to Max, my boxer mix, snoring loudly, somewhere nearby. i guess it is too much to ask of our pets for both unconditional love and sympathy when insomnia strikes.

    • Oh no – I reckon that’s part of unconditional love … sharing those sleepless nights! Luckily my girls are quiet sleepers, and I’m overjoyed they seem willing enough to open their eyes for a little wander in the dark, so I won’t complain – just try not to think of what it’ll be like when I have to let them go to new homes when I leave for Australia.

    • So many people I admire swear by the ‘power nap’. I really must try harder to develop the techniques for keeping them short – Einstein said he always held his pen during daytime naps – when it fell, it was time to get back to work. That’s what I need.

  5. It is the same at my house, when I’m sleepless, my dogs sleeps like stones, and when I have a good night, they hear all kinds of scary stuff all around…
But we still love them, little cuties, huh? 😉

  6. Oh I know this feeling. i never sleep well anymore and having Chevvy, Jackie and Charlie on the bed probably doesn’t help. Thank goodness it is a king size
