Interesting. For someone with a bit of a hand fetish (it was George Harrison’s beautiful, tapered hands that first alerted me to this particular peccadillo of mine) I seem to have very few human hands among my photographs. But I can’t not participate, so I’ll put together a little gallery of human, animal and mineral hands at prayer, and at play

Lovely – I also had a dearth of hands – I used a cottontop monkey & a kangaroo along with trees 🙂
I’ve just seen that yours are next in line after your trip to Matilda Bay:)
You didn’t do too badly 🙂 Superb set of images! The one of the boys screams ‘JOY’!
Doesn’t it just! Glad they passed muster, Madhu:)
I have the hand fetish too. Just one of the reasons I’m a Rafa Nadal fan.
Love the Ventiane Buddha.
A Rafa fan? Um … hands alone the attraction, Jo?
Glad you liked the Buddha hands – I always thought they were exceptionally beautiful, though I do like hands when they’re at work:)
I love the stylized Buddha hands too, but the joyful boys is superb.
They were having so much fun – a sort of ecstasy like puppies beside themselves with glee:)
I love the variety.
Thanks:)
You can feel it from this picture … a wonderful moment!
Thanks! I just held my breath and pressed the shutter – if I’d thought about it, it’d never have turned out. 🙂

I think you put together a wonderful collection for the challenge.
Hey, JM, that’s kind of you to say so. It might have been a bit better if I had had a few more categories, but hey, it’s the fun of it that’s important, right? 🙂

just wonderful slideshow of hands, an elegant and fun collection!
I’m so glad you liked them dadirri. Thanks so much!
These are beautiful, beautiful shots… I had to look at them again. Perfect. 😉
Even the greedy monkey’s hands? Nobody mentions his hands! Thanks for your kind compliments – I’m so glad you liked them.
Yes even his hands…. The hands are placed next to each other in an engaging way so, as they scroll by the impact is wonderful. 😉
Good. Thank you:)
😉

Hands create connections. They bring us closer to people. They help us celebrate life and all it’s wonderful blessings. Beautiful pictures with inspiring thoughts to go with it.
That, and so much more. Where would we be without hands?
Thanks for your compliment, Island Traveler:)
I love those little furry hands amongst the crowd. It reminds us that humans are the only creature with hands … good job all the way around. 🙂 Nice share.
You got it:) Thanks Orples.
Lovely group of hand photos. Well done. 😉
Glad you liked them!

My absolute favourite “hands” post that I’ve seen–LOVE THIS!
The Buddha statue? They’re beautiful, aren’t they? I love the kids too, and our cousin, the greedy monkey … Nice to see you!
